Terms and Conditions

1. Interpretation

1.1 In these Terms and Conditions:

  • "Company" refers to [The Steel Yard Company].

  • "Customer" refers to any individual or entity purchasing goods from the Company.

  • "Goods" refers to the items provided by the Company to the Customer.

  • "Contract" refers to the agreement between the Company and the Customer for the sale of Goods.

1.2 Headings are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Basis of Sale

2.1 The Company shall sell and the Customer shall purchase the Goods in accordance with any written order of the Customer which is accepted by the Company. 2.2 The Contract shall constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the Customer, superseding all prior agreements and understandings.

3. Price of Goods

3.1 The price of the Goods shall be the price set out in the Company’s published price list at the date of the order or as otherwise agreed in writing. 3.2 All prices are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

4. Terms of Payment

4.1 Payment for the Goods must be made in full at the time of order unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Delivery

5.1 The Company shall deliver the Goods to the location set out in the order or as otherwise agreed. 5.2 Delivery dates are estimates only, and the Company shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the Goods. 5.3 Delivery will be subject to a surcharge for the following postcodes:

  • Aberdeen: AB31-AB35, AB41-AB45

  • Argyll: PA20-PA78, PH30-PH31, PH34-PH44, PH49-PH99, FK17-FK21, KA28

  • Arran: KA27

  • Dundee: PH15-PH18

  • Northern Highlands: AB36-AB38, AB55-AB56, HS1-HS9, IV, KW0-KW14, PH19-PH29, PH32-PH33, PH45-PH48

  • Orkney Shetland: KW15-KW17, ZE

6. Warranties and Liability

6.1 The Company warrants that the Goods will correspond with their specification at the time of delivery. 6.2 The Company shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the sale of the Goods. 6.3 The Company’s total liability in respect of any single claim arising out of or in connection with the sale of the Goods shall not exceed the price of the Goods.

7. Data Protection

7.1 The Company will comply with all applicable data protection laws and regulations in handling any personal data provided by the Customer. 7.2 The Customer’s personal data will be used solely for the purpose of fulfilling the order and will not be shared with third parties without the Customer’s consent, except as required by law.

8. General

8.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. 8.2 The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such amendments will be effective from the date they are published on the Company’s website. 8.3 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UNITED KINGDOM , and any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UNITED KINGDOM.

By placing an order with the Company, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
